Background of the study
Digital personalization tailors marketing efforts to individual consumer preferences, fostering deeper connections and enhancing customer loyalty. This study investigates how an online retailer in Abuja uses personalization techniques—such as targeted email campaigns, personalized product recommendations, and adaptive website interfaces—to boost customer loyalty. Personalized digital experiences can create a sense of value and recognition among consumers, leading to repeat purchases and long-term engagement (Ibrahim, 2023). In a competitive online retail environment, effective personalization is key to differentiating a brand and building lasting relationships. However, challenges such as data privacy concerns and over-personalization must be managed carefully (Chinwe, 2024). This inquiry examines the methods and outcomes of personalization strategies, aiming to provide insights into best practices that drive customer loyalty and sustained revenue growth.

Statement of the problem
Despite significant investments in digital personalization, many online retailers in Abuja face challenges in achieving high customer loyalty. Ineffective use of personalization techniques, coupled with privacy concerns and data management issues, can lead to consumer disengagement. These challenges reduce the effectiveness of personalized marketing efforts, undermining customer retention and revenue growth. This study seeks to address these issues by investigating the impact of digital personalization on customer loyalty and identifying best practices to overcome implementation challenges (Ibrahim, 2023; Chinwe, 2024).

Significance of the study
This study is significant as it offers insights into the role of digital personalization in building customer loyalty. The findings will assist online retailers in Abuja in refining their personalization strategies, leading to increased repeat purchases and long-term engagement. The research contributes to the digital marketing field by providing actionable recommendations for enhancing customer relationships (Ibrahim, 2023).

Scope and limitations of the study
The study is limited to analyzing digital personalization strategies for an online retailer in Abuja, Nigeria, and does not extend to other digital marketing channels or industries.
